Ingredients

Gather these few simple ingredients, then you can immediately get started! There’s no a whole lot of steps to this recipe:

  • Prepared horseradish: Prepared horseradish can be found in a glass jar in the refrigerated aisle at your local grocery store, or you can make homemade prepared horseradish. This recipe does not use raw horseradish. Prepared horseradish is much milder than raw horseradish, but still full of that unmistakable horseradish flavor zing!
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice: Fresh squeezed will have much more flavor than bottled lemon juice, which is made from concentrate and then preserved with additives.
  • Mayonnaise: To keep this recipe Whole30, use compatible mayo. Store-bought mayonnaise and homemade mayonnaise will both work. Feel free to use vegan mayo to make this creamy aioli dairy free!
  • Dijon mustard: Using dijon will add more of that warm spicy flavor and it compliments the horseradish wonderfully.
  • Seasonings: You’ll be able to flavor the aioli to your taste. But I use salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to season this sauce.
  • Green onions: Optionally, serve the horseradish aioli garnished with sliced green onions.
