Homemade Big Mac Sauce
Homemade Big Mac Sauce is the amazing Special Sauce your hamburgers have been missing! Best of all, this easy condiment recipe is Paleo, Whole30, Keto friendly, dairy-free and gluten-free!
Homemade Big Mac Sauce Recipe
I’m telling you, this Homemade Big Mac Sauce really is something special! It’s tangy, creamy, and just absolutely wonderful on hamburgers and cheese burgers.
In fact, it’s such a good burger sauce recipe that you’ll probably start putting it on other things, like eggs, veggies, potato skins, and more! Don’t worry, I won’t tell (wink). It’s in my top two all-time favorite sauces, right next to my Chick Fil A sauce.
Making homemade condiments like BBQ sauce is so nice, and so much better for you. But honestly? They taste better than the real thing, too. So fresh and so good!
This homemade sauce is similar to Thousand Island Dressing, but thicker and more like a dipping sauce or a thicker sauce you spread on beef patties. It’s a dreamy sauce with a creamy and tangy flavor.

Uses for Big Mac Sauce
Well obviously, this special sauce is delicious on burgers! It was originally made by McDonald’s for their Big Mac cheeseburger, but you can put it on any kind of burger you like. Homemade hamburgers or turkey burgers are both perfect for Big Mac sauce!
And if you’re wondering, the classic McDonald’s Big Mac burger recipe includes two beef patties, their signature Big Mac sauce, a slice of American cheese, lettuce, pickles and onions on a three-part sesame seed bun.
This special sauce has so many uses beyond topping a burger (which is one of my favorite ways to enjoy it, by the way!):
- Use it as a dipping sauce for sweet potato fries, chicken nuggets or mini burger bites.
- Spread it on other sandwiches or hot dogs.
- Make a batch of Big Mac potato skins for a party app.
- Drizzle it over bacon cheeseburger nachos.
- Pour it on a homemade Big Mac salad bowl as a salad dressing.
Storage Tips
Store the leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 5 days. If you use homemade mayo, it will last less, about 3-4 days.
