About Cook at Home Mom

If you’re tired of staring into the fridge at 5 PM wondering what to make for dinner… you’re in the right place!

Maybe you’re over the complicated “healthy eating” rules that leave you feeling more confused than inspired? We get it!

At Cook at Home Mom, we ditch the food guilt and embrace meals that are both doable and delicious — even if you are a busy family! No strict elimination diets required—just real food that fits into your busy family life and makes everyone at the table happy. Wholesome eating should simplify your day, not complicate it.

Behind the Blog

Madison Wetherill is the blogger behind Cook at Home Mom. She lives in Arizona with her family of 3 boys and her husband.

With all of those hungry boys in the house, she is constantly cooking up something that is full of flavor and nutrition.

She is also active on her second food blog, Joyfully Mad. Her cooking tips have also been featured on publications like Redfin.

What you’ll find on Cook at Home:

You’ll discover recipes that break you out of dinner boredom while keeping things realistic for your busy schedule. Our recipes focus on wholesome ingredients and balanced meals, with options to customize based on your family’s preferences and needs.

In addition to recipes, we share practical meal prep strategies, time-saving kitchen tips, and simple ways to introduce more variety to your family’s meals without the stress.

You’ll also find plenty of recipes designed for kitchen tools that make your life easier—like the slow cooker, air fryer, and Instant Pot—because we believe good food shouldn’t take all day to prepare!

Consider this your judgment-free zone for finding kitchen inspiration and confidence to create meals everyone at your table will enjoy.

While we started with a focus on specialized diets, we’ve evolved to embrace a more balanced approach to eating where you can eat wholesome food without a strict diet. You will still find many recipes labeled for various eating styles, but our core philosophy is that healthy eating looks different for every family.
