How to Cook Ground Beef

For most of these ground beef recipes, you'll cook the ground beef in a skillet on your stove top. It isn't difficult, and it only takes about 8-10 minutes total.

For some recipes, you can brown the beef in an Instant Pot, but doing this won't save you any time. It's just another cooking option if your stove top is full.

  1. To cook ground beef, add it to a large skillet. Cook over medium heat, breaking it apart and turning often as it cooks, until browned.
  2. Season lightly with salt and pepper and continue to cook until cooked through. Optionally, you can drain off some of the rendered fat after cooking ground beef.
