optional toppingsketchup, cheese, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, etc.
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 375°F.
Use your hands to mix all burger ingredients (1 pound ground turkey, ⅓ cup almond flour, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 2 teaspoons onion powder, 2 teaspoons garlic powder, and 1 teaspoon paprika) in a large bowl until well combined.
Portion the mixture into baseball-sized balls, then flatten into thin patties. *They tend to puff up in the air fryer, so you want them thin so they stay large enough for your burger buns.
Working in batches if necessary, place turkey burgers in air fryer basket in a single layer (do not overlap).
Cook for 5 minutes, then use tongs to carefully turn the patties over. If adding cheese, place a slice on top of each turkey burger after flipping.
Close the basket and continue air frying for another 5 minutes, or until burgers reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
Remove from air fryer and let the burgers rest for 5 minutes before serving on toasted 4 hamburger buns with your favorite optional toppings.
Notes
Always preheat your air fryer and spray it with an oil spray that's safe for your air fryer (avocado oil works!)
Check the internal temperature after the first 5 minutes before continuing to cook.
Toast the buns in the air fryer during the last 2 minutes of cook time if your model is large enough. Otherwise, toast them while the burgers are resting.
