Dutch Oven Pork & Sauerkraut

ingredients

pork chops sauerkraut potatoes apple caraway seeds oil

Brown the pork

Season the pork chops lightly with salt and pepper. Brown on each side, then set the pork chops aside. 

Add the sauerkraut

Add the sauerkraut to the dutch oven. Use a wooden spoon to gently scrape the bottom of the dutch oven and deglaze the pan.

Add the potatoes

Set the potatoes and apples (if using) in the dutch oven. Gently mix together the potatoes, apples, and sauerkraut. 

Add the caraway

Sprinkle generously with caraway seeds, then cover.  Set in a preheated oven and bake until cooked through and ultra tender..
